Included in the district are the cities of Enumclaw and Black Diamond and several unincorporated communities. In 1986, the nearby community of Lester joined the school district.
Continuous community support for education in Enumclaw schools has provided the financial basis necessary for quality education. Emphasis on strong academic programs and equally effective vocational opportunities has long been a priority of staff members, administrators and Enumclaw School Board Directors. The maintenance of a quality support staff, people who are essential to effective school management, continues to ensure excellent services to Enumclaw district students. Over the years, thoughtful decisions about new additions to curriculum and other special, vital programs and activities have allowed the Enumclaw district to provide up-to-date educational offerings - programs that encourage students to persevere and gain well-developed skills and knowledge. Providing quality education in an environment conducive to obtaining the maximum benefit from instructional and additional school-activity opportunities is important to parents, students, and the Enumclaw School District staff. As a fellow Enumclaw alumni that attended Enumclaw schools from elementary through high school, I can attest to the excellent education, teaching, and small town feel of this district.
